Women Behind the Scenes of White Davis and White Law Firm

As Women’s History Month unfolds, White Davis & White, located in Anderson, SC, takes this opportunity to honor and recognize the invaluable contributions of women in the legal profession. Founded in 2005, White Davis & White has a strong commitment to empowering women in law, and this month, we are spotlighting the women who play a pivotal role in our firm’s success.

The Visionary Founder: Druanne D. White

Druanne D. White, founder of White Davis & White in 2005, has been a trailblazer in the legal field. Since 1985, she has been an aggressive trial lawyer, trying hundreds of cases in front of juries and judges. Druanne’s commitment to justice and excellence is exemplified by her service as a JAG officer in the United States Marine Corps, where she attained the rank of Captain. Following her military service, she served the State of South Carolina as an assistant solicitor for 11 years and the Tenth Circuit Solicitor for four years. Druanne’s leadership and vision have shaped White Davis & White into a firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to its clients.

Female Leaders at White Davis & White

Joy C. Davis

Joy Davis is a former Olympic Trial Qualifying, Division I NCAA All-American Swimmer who now practices family law, criminal defense, and personal injury law across the Upstate. Before joining the firm in 2007, Joy was a prosecutor with the Seventh Circuit Solicitor’s (District Attorney) Office (Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties) and then the Tenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office (Anderson and Oconee Counties). Joy’s last three and a half years as a prosecutor was spent handling all the child and elderly abuse cases in Anderson and Oconee Counties. Joy’s years as a prosecutor were on the heels of her success as a decorated college athlete.

Ashlea M. White

Ashlea White is a family court and criminal defense attorney who began practicing law in Mississippi in 2011 but has practiced law at our firm in South Carolina since 2013. Ashlea assists clients in family court matters, including divorces, adoptions, custody disputes, and other family court proceedings. Additionally, Ashlea is an aggressive advocate for clients accused of crimes, including all types of misdemeanors and felonies. She is a proud graduate of Mississippi State University but has adopted Clemson University as her second team. Ashlea is licensed to practice law in South Carolina and Mississippi. Practicing in two different states has given her a unique perspective on the law, the ability to adapt to changes in the law and the dynamic nature of cases.

Sarah Tamura

Sarah Tamura is a personal injury and civil litigation attorney who was born and raised in Southern California. She is also a graduate of the University of Oregon, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in just three years. Sarah attended law school at the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, Sarah had the honor of being named on the dean’s list, serving as research editor for the American Bar Association’s Real Property Trust and Estate Law journal, and receiving a CALI award in the academic course of Insurance Law (for receiving the highest grade in the class). During law school, Sarah clerked for our firm and discovered her passion for civil litigation and desire to help those who have been injured or wronged.
