Solicitor (District Attorney), South Carolina Tenth Judicial Circuit, 2001-2005

  • Elected as Solicitor by the citizens of Anderson and Oconee counties
  • Led the Tenth Circuit Solicitor's Office to monthly top docket control, ranking in the top among all South Carolina Solicitor's offices
  • Created two special prosecution units:  to combat child and elder abuse; to fight domestic violence more effectively

  • Personally prosecuted over 1600 cases, including well over 100 full jury trials, many of which involved homicide and/or sexual assault cases

Legislative Experience
